MISSION The mission of the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons is to educate, entertain and enrich our community through a diverse blend of professional, educational and community programming. VISION The Performing Arts Center is an enduring facility that will grow, adapt and respond to changes in the future, reflecting the evolving needs, desires and interests of the community. View DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH, take Interstate 5 north to Valencia Boulevard. Turn right onto Valencia Boulevard. At the third light (counting the off-ramp light) turn right onto Rockwell Canyon Road. Enter the college at the electronic marquee situated opposite the Performing Arts Center (the fourth parking lot entrance on the right). FROM THE NORTH, take Interstate 5 south to Valencia Boulevard (just past Magic Mountain). Turn left onto Valencia Boulevard. At the fourth light (counting the off-ramp light) turn right onto Rockwell Canyon Road. Enter the college at the electronic marquee situated opposite the Performing Arts Center (the fourth parking lot entrance on the right). PARKING College of the Canyons has ample parking for all events held on its campus. Parking for events in the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center will generally be in lots immediately adjacent to the facility and clearly designated by signage on the day of the event. Bus parking will be coordinated with campus security and must be arranged at least three business days prior to the event. Parking is free for most events. For some events, valet parking will be available at an additional charge. |

OVERVIEW The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center is located on the campus of College of the Canyons, a California community college located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91355. The $18.3-million facility boasts a spectacular 7,500-square-foot proscenium theater with a state-of-the-art sound system and 886 seats, as well as the experimental Black Box theater. Funded by the State of California ($15.9 million) and the City of Santa Clarita ($2.4 million), the 47,000 square-foot center features instructional, community and professional entertainment and informational programs. Designed with a green room, scene shops, costume and property storage, orchestra pit, make-up/dressing room areas, lockers, showers, ticket booth and snack bar, the Performing Arts Center is a one-of-a-kind performance destination for community members in the Santa Clarita Valley. Photos of the Performing Arts Center HISTORY ACCESSIBILITY The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center has been constructed to accommodate attendance for people with accessible requirements. Accessible seating is available on the main floor in the Orchestra seating section of Rows E or P and accessible by an elevator. Please contact the Box Office for additional information and to purchase accessible seating. SUITABLE FOR YOUTH Performances throughout the season represent a wide range of artistic expression and audience appeal. While many performances may be appropriate for younger children, it is always best to read the event description and content notes of every performance so you can make the best decision for your family and children. BOX OFFICE The new PAC Box Office is located at the venue (north end of lobby) and is accessed from the outside through ticket windows. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The PAC Box Office will also be open two hours prior to show time for main stage events one hour prior to show time for Black Box events. GROUP SALES • Groups of 8 to 14 people receive a 10 percent discount off regular ticket price. RUSH TICKETS A limited number of discounted RUSH tickets for students, educators, military personal, emergency services personnel and seniors 60 and older will be available the evening of specified shows. GIFT CERTIFICATES Gift certificates may be purchased through the Box Office or online in a variety of denominations and are redeemable for COC Presents and Arts on Campus (college productions) performances, depending on seating available at time of redemption. VOLUNTEER USHERS We continue to have opportunities for volunteers to serve on our Front of House team. As a volunteer, you get to see the performance you are ushering and earn credits toward free tickets to see upcoming productions! BLACK BOX THEATER The Black Box, located at the northwest end of the PAC, is a unique “flexible seating” venue featuring new and experimental productions. Due to the nature of the theater, the exact number of seats available for performances is often not known until close to opening night. Therefore, a limited number of seats will be placed on sale at the beginning of the season until the exact seating count has been confirmed by the technical staff. All seating in the Black Box Theater is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact the Box Office at (661) 362-5304 for more information.
